Christian Carafa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Claudio Bussi made a huge save. Sarzana's Franco Arcari got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sarzana's Claudio Bussi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Sarzana from getting a goal against them. Christian Carafa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Claudio Bussi came out and tried to block the shot, but Christian Carafa slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 9th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sarzana's zone, Fulvio Prisco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Bussi came out of the goal and Fulvio Prisco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claudio Bussi made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Christian Carafa sent off a good shot on target. After 17 played minutes Sarzana got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Iacovella. Christian Carafa took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudio Bussi. Claudio Bussi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Carpella Nursery's Aldo Negrini slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Claudio Bussi. That made the score 3-0 after 21 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Carpella Nursery's Fabiano Mannella got a free kick in the 24th minute. Attilio Costantini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franco Arcari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sarzana's Claudio Bussi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Negrini in the 38th minute of play. Claudio Bussi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christian Carafa in the 41st minute. Claudio Bussi was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Christian Carafa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Christian Carafa really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. 47 minutes into the match, Christian Carafa notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Sarzana's Claudio Bussi. Claudio Bussi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Franco Arcari to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Aldo Negrini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Bussi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfonso Iacovella's late challenge caught a Carpella Nursery's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfonso Iacovella helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sarzana getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Alfonso Iacovella hit a great ball. The supporters of Carpella Nursery booed when Sarzana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ennio Chioda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfonso Iacovella kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Franco Arcari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Attilio Costantini having to interfere. Fulvio Prisco kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Attilio Costantini made an important save on a dangerous shot by Franco Arcari in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute Aldo Negrini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Bussi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Christian Carafa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudio Bussi. Sarzana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christian Carafa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 11-0. After a rather tough play, Carpella Nursery's Diego Domina got a free kick in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Carpella Nursery had played much better football throughout.
