Cosenza Calcio F.C's Cristiano Del Nero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Cappucci in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute, Franco Persia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pesciroppo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, Pesciroppo's goalkeeper Corrado Scatena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fedele Colombi. Franco Persia hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edoardo Di Gennaro in the 13th minute of play forced Pesciroppo's goalkeeper Corrado Scatena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Fulvio Riccardi fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cosenza Calcio F.C's protests and gave Fulvio Riccardi a yellow card for diving instead. Franco Riva shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Cappucci in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristiano Del Nero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alfredo Barchiesi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cosenza Calcio F.C's attack was well implemented in the 24th minute, but when Edoardo Di Gennaro was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. A collision led to Cosenza Calcio F.C getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Cristiano Marzulli hit a great ball. The Pesciroppo fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Pesciroppo's Anselmo Cappucci looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Anselmo Cappucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Cristiano Del Nero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Corrado Scatena was a little too slow when Edoardo Di Gennaro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anselmo Cappucci was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Cosenza Calcio F.C's goalkeeper Cristiano Del Nero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anselmo Cappucci. Cristiano Del Nero was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Franco Persia showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 54 minute of play. Anselmo Cappucci came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cristiano Del Nero could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anselmo Cappucci got free with Cristiano Del Nero in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristiano Del Nero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Franco Persia went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Andrea Celli kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Corrado Scatena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edoardo Di Gennaro in the 70th minute of the match. After 71 played minutes Pesciroppo got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Barchiesi. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Franco Riva during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Pesciroppo getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Franco Riva hit a great ball. Corrado Scatena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edoardo Di Gennaro in the 76th minute of play. If Bianco Colaussi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pesciroppo's Anselmo Cappucci got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Cosenza Calcio F.C's zone, Anselmo Cappucci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristiano Del Nero came out of the goal and Anselmo Cappucci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Cosenza Calcio F.C booed when Pesciroppo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Cappucci didn't get a good kick on the ball. Corrado Scatena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edoardo Di Gennaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Cristiano Del Nero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bianco Colaussi in the 96th minute of play. When the match was over Pesciroppo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cosenza Calcio F.C throughout the match.
