Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 159) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Carmine Saturno kicked off to start the match. 6 minutes into the match, Aldo Padula had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dave Moreschi. Ginnastica Mentale's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aldo Padula was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Dave Moreschi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmine Saturno, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Dave Moreschi came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Rombiolo BR's Biagio Chioda. But to his dismay, Biagio Chioda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 24 minutes into the match, Biagio Chioda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dave Moreschi. Ginnastica Mentale's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Biagio Chioda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Alberigo Dorigatti, 29 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Aldo Padula fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dave Moreschi having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Carmine Saturno made a precise shot to the right of Dave Moreschi. Ginnastica Mentale's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Biagio Chioda in the 38th minute of play forced Ginnastica Mentale's goalkeeper Dave Moreschi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Gelsomini struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Emilio Grassi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ginnastica Mentale.
The wind increased when Franco Di Leonardo made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Francesco Melfi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franco Di Leonardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 54 minutes, Fabio Sciamanna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ginnastica Mentale's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabio Sciamanna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rombiolo BR's goalkeeper Emilio Grassi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Franco Di Leonardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Biagio Rosi during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Biagio Rosi hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Ginnastica Mentale's Alberto Gelsomini got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Alberto Gelsomini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ginnastica Mentale booed when Rombiolo BR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Rivera didn't get a good kick on the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Francesco Melfi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dave Moreschi, 0-6. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aldo Padula in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dave Moreschi saved Ginnastica Mentale from getting behind. Carmine Saturno charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carmine Saturno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 86 played minutes Rombiolo BR got a freekick which was hit by Carmine Saturno. Dave Moreschi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carmine Saturno in the 89th minute. Alessandro Sisti was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 92 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the game, one of Ginnastica Mentale:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arturo Bosso during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ginnastica Mentale getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Arturo Bosso hit a great ball. After 97 played minutes, Rombiolo BR's Alberigo Dorigatti shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dave Moreschi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rombiolo BR reached it. Rombiolo BR played a much better game than Ginnastica Mentale and deserved their victory. The Ginnastica Mentale players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
