Ernesto Cicchini was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ernesto Cicchini didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alex Cordone went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Ernesto Cicchini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. When Emanuele Visintin fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Pellegrinos's protests and gave Emanuele Visintin a yellow card for diving instead. Emanuele Visintin hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Ernesto Cicchini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Cordone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ernesto Cicchini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Cordone, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half Fortitudo were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armin Valcareggi to make the kick off. Ernesto Cicchini was a little too slow when Alberto Mingione got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 0-5. Ernesto Cicchini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Cordone in the 63rd minute of the match. After 66 minutes, Edmondo Cirulli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Pellegrinos and the Fortitudo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 66 played minutes San Pellegrinos got a freekick which was hit by Edmondo Cirulli. After some careless play in the San Pellegrinos defense, Alberto Mingione kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ernesto Cicchini. The San Pellegrinos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernesto Cicchini should have stopped the shot. Fortitudo's Alberto Mingione got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Alex Cordone reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ernesto Cicchini. The goal made the score 0-7. With his leg Ernesto Cicchini managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Fortitudo's Alberto Mingione fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ernesto Cicchini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Cordone in the 84th minute of the match. Alessandro Rigoni kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, San Pellegrinos's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Mingione came free, but Ernesto Cicchini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the game, Alberto Mingione cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Ernesto Cicchini was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 92 minutes into the match, Alex Cordone had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ernesto Cicchini. San Pellegrinos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alex Cordone was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9.
