The supporters of Ostia Antica AFC booed when REAL FLO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Luongo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gösta Ambjörnsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Caniglia having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Ostia Antica AFC's Emanuele Mazzei dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Alberto Caniglia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuele Mazzei in the 19th minute of play. Alberto Caniglia was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Grégoire Cabañas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Grégoire Cabañas really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Gösta Ambjörnsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Alberto Caniglia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gösta Ambjörnsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Caniglia having to interfere. REAL FLO's Alberto Caniglia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save REAL FLO from getting a goal against them. Alberto Caniglia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuele Mazzei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gösta Ambjörnsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alberto Caniglia having to make a save. Grégoire Cabañas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ostia Antica AFC! REAL FLO's Alberto Caniglia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gösta Ambjörnsson in the 45th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gösta Ambjörnsson to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Gösta Ambjörnsson made a precise shot to the right of Alberto Caniglia. REAL FLO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. After 57 minutes of play, Ostia Antica AFC's Gösta Ambjörnsson made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alberto Caniglia was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to REAL FLO getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Frank Meazza hit a great ball. Gösta Ambjörnsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alberto Caniglia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. With a little luck, Ostia Antica AFC's Tobias Månsson got control of the ball when Claudio Stellato tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Claudio Stellato could shoot a difficult shot in the 71st minute, which Tobias Månsson however easily saved by the left post. Gösta Ambjörnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alberto Caniglia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gösta Ambjörnsson in the 77th minute of the match. Alberto Caniglia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gösta Ambjörnsson went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-1 was the resulting score. 82 minutes into the match, Gösta Ambjörnsson notched a goal, 9-1, to the right of REAL FLO's Alberto Caniglia. Alberto Caniglia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 87 minutes into the match, REAL FLO's goal looked a bit too open when Elia Bearzot came free, but Alberto Caniglia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arrigo Lazzaro was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 99 minutes into the match. In the 98th minute, one of Ostia Antica AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ostia Antica AFC. There was no doubt that Ostia Antica AFC were the better team. Ostia Antica AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
