Aurelio Bucci came out and tried to block the shot, but Armando Cerasoli slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 17th minute. Diego Pasquale made a great header on Road Runner Team's corner, it was just that Ciaculali's Aurelio Bucci managed to reach the ball for a save. 35 minutes into the match, Comunardo Chiarelli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aurelio Bucci. Ciaculali's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Comunardo Chiarelli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Ettore Loiacono's late challenge caught a Ciaculali's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ettore Loiacono helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Road Runner Team's Ettore Loiacono got a free kick in the 38th minute. The Road Runner Team fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Road Runner Team's Armando Cerasoli looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Armando Cerasoli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ciaculali's Aurelio Bucci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Comunardo Chiarelli in the 44th minute of play. Armando Cerasoli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Aurelio Bucci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arrigo Rea to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Cerasoli in the 52nd minute of play forced Ciaculali's goalkeeper Aurelio Bucci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fedele Panino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Demetrio Di Michele tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Elia Esposito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 69 minutes into the match, Ciaculali's goal looked a bit too open when Comunardo Chiarelli came free, but Aurelio Bucci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 73 minutes, Armando Cerasoli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Road Runner Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Cerasoli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 75 minutes of play, Road Runner Team's Comunardo Chiarelli made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aurelio Bucci was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arrigo Rea's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Demetrio Di Michele skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Cerasoli in the 86th minute of play forced Ciaculali's goalkeeper Aurelio Bucci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Road Runner Team's goalkeeper Demetrio Di Michele, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aurelio Bucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Comunardo Chiarelli in the 90th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Road Runner Team's Comunardo Chiarelli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurelio Bucci narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Road Runner Team walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
