The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aldo Imperatore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Messias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 6th minute Severino Messias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Imperatore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 7th minute Kroton F.C. were awarded a corner. Patrick Vieira went to the cornerflag to take it. Aldo Imperatore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniele Daniele kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Casalotto FC's Aldo Imperatore proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Casalotto FC from getting a goal against them. 13 minutes into the match, Casalotto FC's goalkeeper Aldo Imperatore had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Pelliccioni. Aldo Imperatore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Messias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Casalotto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Vieira came free, but Aldo Imperatore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Pelliccioni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Aldo Imperatore made a huge save. Martin Eriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Piano in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute of the match Casalotto FC got a corner. Kroton F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dave Piano ran over to the corner to take the kick. Casalotto FC's Dave Piano was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Martin Eriksson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 20 minutes Kroton F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dave Piano who took care of the corner kick. Martin Eriksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Lucchetti, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. With a little luck, Casalotto FC's Aldo Imperatore got control of the ball when Johannes Støle tried to sneak it across the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Kroton F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Dave Piano came free, but Martin Eriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martin Eriksson came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Casalotto FC's Fausto Lucchetti. But to his dismay, Fausto Lucchetti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Louis Palma in the 46th minute of play forced Kroton F.C.'s goalkeeper Martin Eriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kroton F.C.'s Martin Eriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Louis Palma in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

In the 51st minute, Laerte Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 52 played minutes, Casalotto FC's Dave Piano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Martin Eriksson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Casalotto FC reached it. After a rather tough play, Casalotto FC's Dave Piano got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Casalotto FC's zone, Severino Messias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aldo Imperatore came out of the goal and Severino Messias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Kroton F.C.'s Martin Eriksson got control of the ball when Louis Palma tried to sneak it across the goal line. Martin Eriksson made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Fausto Lucchetti sent off a good shot on target. Kroton F.C.'s Martin Eriksson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Kroton F.C. from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Messias in the 63rd minute of play forced Casalotto FC's goalkeeper Aldo Imperatore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Eriksson came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Casalotto FC's Fausto Lucchetti. But to his dismay, Fausto Lucchetti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 67thth minute of the game Severino Messias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Casalotto FC's Aldo Imperatore was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aldo Imperatore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rickard Örtendahl in the 69th minute of play. Casalotto FC made a substitution. Ferdinando Iezzi replaced Daniele Daniele. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by Casalotto FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Patrick Vieira was slow to take the kick. During this time Kroton F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. In the 75th minute, Patrick Vieira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kroton F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. When Johannes Støle came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Kroton F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johannes Støle couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Kroton F.C.'s Martin Eriksson got control of the ball when Louis Palma tried to sneak it across the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Casalotto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Messias came free, but Aldo Imperatore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Louis Palma got free with Martin Eriksson in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aldo Imperatore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Vieira in the 88th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute Dave Piano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Eriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Casalotto FC's goalkeeper Aldo Imperatore, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 97th minute Kroton F.C. were awarded a corner. Patrick Vieira went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Laerte Porto managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The Casalotto FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
