The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martin Eriksson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Malam Drage recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 43rd minute Patrick Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Valeriani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severino Messias who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Aurelio Valeriani when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kroton F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Patrick Vieira in the 46th minute. A nice corner shot did that Patrick Vieira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aurelio Valeriani quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Filipe Gaspar was the one to do the kick off. In the 76th minute of the match, Malam Drage got a very nice opportunity to score, but Martin Eriksson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
