Carlo Ciccone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Alessandro, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute of the match Basaldella AFC got a corner. Villamarina AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Basaldella AFC's Dave Loiacono played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Petrochenko in the 58th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Federico Alessandro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlo Ciccone was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. In the 63rd minute, Kobe De Mees got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Basaldella AFC made a substitution. Valentin Petrochenko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Basaldella AFC's Aurelio De Tommasi got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 97th match minute, Villamarina AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuele Primavera to maneuver through the defense. Villamarina AFC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
