Without hesitation aimed to the right of Comunardo Milani, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ettore Santo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Comunardo Milani having to interfere. Hélio O'Connell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Attilio Iachini, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 79th minute, Dario Giocondo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Federico Ondino in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Comunardo Milani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Maritek FC had played much better football throughout.
