Lev Yashin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniele Massaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniele Massaro got free with Lev Yashin in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniele Massaro in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lev Yashin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lev Yashin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniele Massaro's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the game, Daniele Massaro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Lev Yashin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The throw-in from Cristoforo Leoni in the 32nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Longobarda's Alvaro Valcareggi. Longobarda were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Seggiano's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alvaro Valcareggi took the corner. Andrea Moschetta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Valcareggi in the 44th minute of play. Lev Yashin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniele Massaro in the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniele Massaro to make the kick off. Alvaro Valcareggi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Andrea Moschetta made a huge save. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Seggiano's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alvaro Valcareggi was slow to take the kick. During this time Longobarda's players had a chance to rest. Longobarda's Alvaro Valcareggi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Andrea Moschetta in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Longobarda's Lev Yashin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniele Massaro in the 58th minute of play. Cosimo Franceschini kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Lev Yashin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniele Massaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 69 minutes into the match, Longobarda's goal looked a bit too open when Daniele Massaro came free, but Lev Yashin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Daniele Massaro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lev Yashin was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. In the 72nd minute, one of Longobarda:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Longobarda. 81 minutes into the game, Daniele Massaro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Lev Yashin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniele Massaro in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lev Yashin saved Longobarda from getting behind. Daniele Massaro took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lev Yashin. Lev Yashin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0.
