Aversa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florian Cocca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 16 minutes into the game, Longobarda's Edwin Godholm nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emory Øien made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Emory Øien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florian Cocca in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Kostyantyn Rudnytskyi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aversa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Longobarda the free kick. Kostyantyn Rudnytskyi hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 24 minutes into the match, Aversa's goalkeeper Emory Øien had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edwin Godholm. Frank Cherubini hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Edwin Godholm's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Emory Øien firmly grabbed it by the left post. Longobarda's Lev Yashin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gísli Langnickel in the 37th minute of play. Edwin Godholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emory Øien having to interfere. Emory Øien made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edwin Godholm in the 42nd minute. When Eerik Eha fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aversa's protests and gave Eerik Eha a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Longobarda booed when Aversa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eerik Eha didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes in the game Frank Cherubini did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Anthimos Vougas. 46 minutes into the game, Edwin Godholm lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Emory Øien. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Anselmo Fulgenzi came free with the goalkeeper in the 91st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lev Yashin could save by the left post. In the 92nd minute, Zhang Xiang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Cafu Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 94 minutes, Anselmo Fulgenzi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aversa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anselmo Fulgenzi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kostyantyn Rudnytskyi kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. If Alvaro Valcareggi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee ended the match the Longobarda players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
