Gábor Vígh struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Richárd Gácsi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Astra. After 15 minutes, József Petres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Himod VSC and the Astra players grew even worse after the yellow card. József Petres hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Richárd Gácsi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gábor Vígh, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Astra's Gábor Vígh got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rajmund Irmai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rajmund Irmai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Richárd Gácsi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rajmund Irmai in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Richárd Gácsi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. György Tolnay's late challenge caught a Astra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. György Tolnay helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th match minute, Himod VSC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by György Tolnay to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 41 minutes, Rajmund Irmai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Astra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rajmund Irmai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Richárd Gácsi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gábor Vígh in the 44th minute of play. Kornél Sarkady showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brúnó Hajdú in the 45th minute of the match.

János Gyárfás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 54th minute of the match Tamás Ambrus sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kornél Sarkady skillfully saved the ball. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Himod VSC's goalkeeper Richárd Gácsi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Astra's Gábor Vígh in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Himod VSC's goalie prevented a goal. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rajmund Irmai's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Richárd Gácsi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. After 63 played minutes Himod VSC got a freekick which was hit by Brúnó Kiprich. Brúnó Hajdú received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Kornél Sarkady tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rajmund Irmai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. In the 76th minute, Brúnó Hajdú left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Himod VSC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Brúnó Hajdú came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Himod VSC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brúnó Hajdú couldn't finish the play. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Himod VSC's goalkeeper Richárd Gácsi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Astra booed when Himod VSC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. József Petres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gábor Vígh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gábor Vígh in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Richárd Gácsi saved Himod VSC from getting behind. When Astra's Károly Király in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Himod VSC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 90th minute János Gyárfás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kornél Sarkady saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Gábor Vígh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 93 played minutes Himod VSC got a freekick which was hit by Csaba Kerékgyártó. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Rajmund Irmai managed to get in a good position for a shot. Astra's supporters rose to their feet, but Rajmund Irmai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richárd Gácsi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle went the supporters of Himod VSC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Astra side.
