Miklós Menyhért was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gergely Füzesi. 20 minutes into the match, Rudabánya's goal looked a bit too open when Gică Petran came free, but Miklós Menyhért reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miklós Menyhért stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gică Petran's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. When Gergely Füzesi fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zoltan's protests and gave Gergely Füzesi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd minute, Gergely Füzesi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jakab Újváry might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pál Czene. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jakab Újváry ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Rudabánya made a substitution. Ignác Lengyel replaced Csaba Dárdai. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gică Petran made a kick off. After some careless play in the Rudabánya defense, Gică Petran kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miklós Menyhért. The Rudabánya fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miklós Menyhért should have stopped the shot. In the 57th match minute, Zoltan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norbert Szénási to maneuver through the defense. Bertold Fehér scored 5-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Miklós Menyhért, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Miklós Menyhért didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gică Petran went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Rudabánya's Hugó Horváth got a free kick in the 70th minute. But to his dismay, Gică Petran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Ádám Forgács kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Dániel Csongrádi, 96 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Zoltan fully deserved thier win.
