After taking down the ball on Nagykarácsony's corner Edgar Catarinense fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Yakut Bergin quite easily take care of the ball. When Pál Túri came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Vajka FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pál Túri couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Attila Takács in the 17th minute of play forced Nagykarácsony's goalkeeper Eulalio Gudesteo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yakut Bergin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Torsten Sundin in the 18th minute. Torsten Sundin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Yakut Bergin made a huge save. After 20 minutes Vajka FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edgar Catarinense who took care of the corner kick. Edgar Catarinense was slow to take the kick. During this time Nagykarácsony's players had a chance to rest. Thanks to some nice moves Torsten Sundin could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which Yakut Bergin however easily saved by the left post. Szabolcs Vándor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Yakut Bergin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yakut Bergin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from János Zarka, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Torsten Sundin in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rajmund Szakács to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Vajka FC defense, Félix Baló kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yakut Bergin. The Vajka FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yakut Bergin should have stopped the shot. János Zarka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Vajka FC booed when Nagykarácsony was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theofanis Makrikostas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vajka FC's zone, Szabolcs Vándor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yakut Bergin came out of the goal and Szabolcs Vándor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Torsten Sundin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 80 minutes, János Zarka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nagykarácsony's supporters crossed their fingers, but János Zarka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 82nd match minute, Vajka FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrik Szarka to maneuver through the defense. János Zarka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Yakut Bergin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
