Sándor Hujber made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Ödön Végvári sped through Gomba SK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sándor Hujber. Ödön Végvári struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Sándor Hujber didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for I ll be back. 18 minutes into the match, Ödön Végvári notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Gomba SK's Sándor Hujber. Sándor Hujber was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 22nd minute Ödön Végvári shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sándor Hujber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Csongor Borsos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ottó Buday in the 30th minute of play. Gábor Zolnai kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Ödön Végvári received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Sándor Hujber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Szilárd Tóth who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Sándor Hujber when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sándor Hujber stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ödön Végvári's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. A collision led to Gomba SK getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Ottó Buday hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Sándor Hujber successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ottó Buday stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sándor Hujber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Szilárd Tóth in the 51st minute of the match. After 56 played minutes Gomba SK got a freekick which was hit by László Deák. When Ödön Végvári came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the I ll be back fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ödön Végvári couldn't finish the play. When I ll be back's Ödön Végvári in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gomba SK's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Szilárd Tóth in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sándor Hujber prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Szilárd Tóth's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sándor Hujber read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. After 71 minutes of play, I ll be back's Ödön Végvári made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sándor Hujber was left in no man's land by his defense there! Máté Herceg hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ottó Buday in the 74th minute of play forced I ll be back's goalkeeper Csongor Borsos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of I ll be back booed when Gomba SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gábor Zolnai didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Szilárd Tóth in the 80th minute of play forced Gomba SK's goalkeeper Sándor Hujber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ottó Buday sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gábor Zolnai's late challenge caught a I ll be back's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gábor Zolnai helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of I ll be back booed when Gomba SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gábor Zolnai didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Gomba SK's goal looked a bit too open when Ödön Végvári came free, but Sándor Hujber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the I ll be back players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
