Andrej Palković's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nebojša Jerić read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by Crni Tigrovi's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fran Davidović was slow to take the kick. During this time Povratnici's players had a chance to rest. Povratnici's Rueben Hughes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nebojša Jerić in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 6th minute, Marin Matošin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Neno Gudelj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Povratnici's goalkeeper Višeslav Berend, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Višeslav Berend took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Neno Gudelj, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marin Matošin got free with Nebojša Jerić in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Povratnici's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Neno Gudelj was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience was convinced that Neno Gudelj's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Višeslav Berend was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Neno Gudelj blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Višeslav Berend having to make a save. Višeslav Berend made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neno Gudelj in the 33rd minute of play. Višeslav Berend took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Neno Gudelj, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Neno Gudelj blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Višeslav Berend having to make a save. In the 39th minute Neno Gudelj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Višeslav Berend saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Neno Gudelj in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Višeslav Berend saved Povratnici from getting behind. Višeslav Berend came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Crni Tigrovi's Pompiliu Bacalbașa. But to his dismay, Pompiliu Bacalbașa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The Povratnici players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Crni Tigrovi were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andrej Palković was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Andrej Palković notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Crni Tigrovi's Nebojša Jerić. Nebojša Jerić was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marin Matošin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Marin Matošin came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Povratnici fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marin Matošin couldn't finish the play. After 61 minutes of play, Crni Tigrovi's Pompiliu Bacalbașa made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Višeslav Berend was left in no man's land by his defense there! Neno Gudelj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, Neno Gudelj left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Crni Tigrovi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Neno Gudelj received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Višeslav Berend tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Marin Matošin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Marin Matošin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Povratnici's supporters rose to their feet, but Marin Matošin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nebojša Jerić breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
