Spectators: 9340 (Terracing: 7050, Seating: 2100, VIP seats: 190) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pavao Nemet started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Povratnici booed when FK ORLOVI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodosije Dimović didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fran Davidović, 4 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Marin Matošin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marin Matošin got free with Marin Pejaković in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to FK ORLOVI getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Celso Abechuco hit a great ball. Marin Pejaković made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Marin Matošin sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute of the match Eduard Drljača sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marin Pejaković skillfully saved the ball. Pavao Nemet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marin Pejaković made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marin Matošin in the 29th minute. Wong Lee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marin Pejaković having to interfere. Marin Matošin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marin Pejaković having to make a save. With his leg Marin Pejaković managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Povratnici's Pavao Nemet fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some careless play in the Povratnici defense, Üzeyir Şahinhan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Višeslav Berend. The Povratnici fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Višeslav Berend should have stopped the shot. After 43 minutes of play, Povratnici's Marin Matošin made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marin Pejaković was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

53 minutes into the match, FK ORLOVI's goal looked a bit too open when Marin Matošin came free, but Marin Pejaković reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nikica Cazin made in the 59th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Vince Kováts immediately put the ball in play. The audience was convinced that Pavao Nemet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marin Pejaković was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Üzeyir Şahinhan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Pavao Nemet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marin Pejaković took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marin Matošin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FK ORLOVI's Marin Pejaković played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marin Matošin in the 77th minute of play. Marin Matošin struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Marin Pejaković didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Povratnici. In the 86th minute, Marin Matošin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marin Pejaković was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. When Marin Matošin came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Povratnici fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marin Matošin couldn't finish the play. Pavao Nemet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marin Pejaković having to make a save. Marin Pejaković showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fran Davidović, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute. Povratnici's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
