Camille Labbé sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dylan Grasset didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vivien Weill went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 22 minutes into the match, Camille Labbé notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Herlies's Dylan Grasset. Dylan Grasset was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Arequipe's Jarod Hatte got control of the ball when César Cugnet tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vivien Weill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dylan Grasset having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Zinedine Ruaud left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Herlies fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The supporters of Herlies booed when Arequipe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erwan Nectoux didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dylan Grasset showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camille Labbé, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vivien Weill stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Arequipe's goal looked a bit too open when Antony Gimbert came free, but Jarod Hatte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mike Rochet hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Erwan Nectoux struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Dylan Grasset didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arequipe. Antony Gimbert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 69 played minutes Herlies got a freekick which was hit by César Cugnet. Arequipe's Vivien Weill got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76th minute, Vivien Weill got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jarod Hatte didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antony Gimbert went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Camille Ben Arfa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dylan Grasset. Herlies's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Vivien Weill's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Dylan Grasset skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jarod Hatte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from César Cugnet in the 84th minute of the match. Jarod Hatte came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Herlies's Antony Gimbert. But to his dismay, Antony Gimbert quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Antony Gimbert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jarod Hatte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Cugnet, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Arequipe's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
