The audience was convinced that Jaime Tabor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joe Camp was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Hamard in the 16th minute of play forced Le Stade Briochin UC's goalkeeper Lev Yashin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joe Camp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Tabor in the 18th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Le Stade Briochin UC's Joe Camp threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Farid Verrecchia, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Le Stade Briochin UC's Lev Yashin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Hamard in the 46th minute of play. After 47 minutes Le Stade Briochin UC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nicolas Hamard who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Nicolas Hamard almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Le Stade Briochin UC's Lev Yashin did a great save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 51stth minute of the game Felix Emmanuel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Le Stade Briochin UC's Lev Yashin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joe Camp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Tabor in the 54th minute of play. Gaétan Bouchard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Lev Yashin made a huge save. Joe Camp came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Le Stade Briochin UC's Clovis Janvier. But to his dismay, Clovis Janvier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Jaime Tabor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nolan Roux received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Joe Camp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Le Stade Briochin UC's goalkeeper Lev Yashin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Franklin Boch. Lev Yashin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaétan Bouchard, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Christopher Palumbo kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Cats and dogs's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
