Aristeo Camacho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Carles Coppola made a huge save. 32 minutes into the game, one of Pitxu Dream Team:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tõnn Okapuu in the 38th minute of play forced Ribadesella's goalkeeper Nicolás Labarra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Rolando Quijana came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Pitxu Dream Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolando Quijana couldn't finish the play. Angelines Durango received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Carles Coppola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rolando Quijana to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Ribadesella's Nicolás Labarra got control of the ball when Xose Ruiz tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 52nd minute Pitxu Dream Team were awarded a corner. Tõnn Okapuu went to the cornerflag to take it. Rai Vadillos tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Nicolás Labarra. Nicolás Labarra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xose Ruiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Eliazar Figueres hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute, Rolando Quijana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicolás Labarra was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Pitxu Dream Team's Xose Ruiz was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 65th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 70th minute, Pitxu Dream Team's Rolando Quijana dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-7. When Aquilino Helguera fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ribadesella's protests and gave Aquilino Helguera a yellow card for diving instead. After 76 played minutes Ribadesella got a freekick which was hit by Aquilino Helguera. In the 77th minute, Rai Vadillos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tõnn Okapuu didn't quite understand what happened when in the 79 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. After having played for 81 minutes, Rolando Quijana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pitxu Dream Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolando Quijana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Rolando Quijana made a precise shot to the right of Nicolás Labarra. Ribadesella's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-9. When the match was over Pitxu Dream Team could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ribadesella throughout the match.
