Aristeo Gibert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florencio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atilio Hernandez hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cisco Riells got free with Ramón Menendez in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 21 minutes into the match, Monte Alcedo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfronso Palomar came free, but Aristeo Gibert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute Klement Naumowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aristeo Gibert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pio Palacios kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Crescencio Morado was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 26th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Toño Abril had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atilio Hernandez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Alfronso Palomar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ontigola AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfronso Palomar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aristeo Gibert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aristeo Gibert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klement Naumowicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Ontigola AFC were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after Monte Alcedo AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Crescencio Morado took the corner. Crescencio Morado made a great header on Ontigola AFC's corner, it was just that Monte Alcedo AFC's Aristeo Gibert managed to reach the ball for a save. Ramón Menendez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cisco Riells in the 47th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Klement Naumowicz to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Medina in the 51st minute of play forced Ontigola AFC's goalkeeper Ramón Menendez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Klement Naumowicz in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aristeo Gibert saved Monte Alcedo AFC from getting behind. In the 54th minute Florencio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aristeo Gibert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Klement Naumowicz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Aristeo Gibert made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Ontigola AFC's Loren Coya got a free kick in the 61st minute. Cisco Riells blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ramón Menendez having to make a save. Ramón Menendez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Medina in the 64th minute of the match. Ontigola AFC's Klement Naumowicz got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ramón Menendez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cisco Riells in the 68th minute of play. Nicodemo Treviño struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Aristeo Gibert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ontigola AFC. When Florencio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Ontigola AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florencio Costa couldn't finish the play. Gustavo Medina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 94 minutes, Klement Naumowicz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ontigola AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Klement Naumowicz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
