When Ulises Nueva came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the UNITED fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulises Nueva couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, UNITED's Cristoforo Taranto got control of the ball when Karol Cwynar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rosario Central were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after UNITED's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Checa Sobera took the corner. Rosario Central's Checa Sobera was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cristoforo Taranto in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 16th minute Ulises Nueva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tito Vila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tito Vila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Jimenez in the 21st minute of play. Markus Abelsson's late challenge caught a UNITED's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Markus Abelsson helped the player get up and apologised. Markus Abelsson hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Tito Vila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulises Nueva, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Ulises Nueva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tito Vila read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. If Ulises Nueva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tito Vila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulises Nueva in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, UNITED's Ulises Nueva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tito Vila made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ulises Nueva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tito Vila read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. After 47 played minutes, UNITED's Zeru Dorado shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tito Vila came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in UNITED reached it. 48 minutes into the match, Rosario Central's goal looked a bit too open when Ulises Nueva came free, but Tito Vila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Petronio Checa to make the kick off. Tito Vila was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Ulises Nueva capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ulises Nueva really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Ulises Nueva hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute, Ulises Nueva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UNITED fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Rosario Central's Tito Vila proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Rosario Central from getting a goal against them. In the 78th minute Ulises Nueva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tito Vila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tito Vila stood somewhat misplaced when Ulises Nueva came free in front of goal and shot 0-5 to the left of him in the 84 minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomás Guerra kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tito Vila. That made the score 0-6 in the 90 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rosario Central's zone, Örjan Igelström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tito Vila came out of the goal and Örjan Igelström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tito Vila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulises Nueva, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
