The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Quirze Carmona hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. 9 minutes into the match, Sevilla's goal looked a bit too open when Cordarell Cainzos came free, but Cloyo Dulce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gandolfo Japón sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cloyo Dulce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruy Gómez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sevilla's Cloyo Dulce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel De la Rosa in the 26th minute of play. Kraken's Quirze Carmona got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Sevilla's Gelmiro Contratas got a free kick in the 28th minute. Sevilla's Cloyo Dulce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cordarell Cainzos in the 31st minute of play. In the 36th minute, Ruy Gómez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Ruy Gómez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kraken's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruy Gómez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cloyo Dulce breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ruy Gómez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cloyo Dulce having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Cloyo Dulce made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Manuel De la Rosa sent off a good shot on target. When the match was over Kraken could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sevilla throughout the match.
