Spectators: 8407 (Terracing: 6300, Seating: 1939, VIP seats: 168) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Manolo Lacorte kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, PERSPOLIS's goal looked a bit too open when Manolo Lacorte came free, but Dean Grieve reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Rayo Tharkad's Manolo Lacorte, in the 5th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Rayo Tharkad. Hondo Arratia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zumar Figueroa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dean Grieve. PERSPOLIS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Leon in the 16th minute of play forced PERSPOLIS's goalkeeper Dean Grieve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute, PERSPOLIS's Honorio Carceles dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Nevada Silvestre made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Ekialde Nadal sent off a good shot on target. Dean Grieve came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Rayo Tharkad's Manolo Lacorte. But to his dismay, Manolo Lacorte quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Dean Grieve showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manolo Lacorte in the 27th minute of the match. Nevada Silvestre didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 29th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. In the 34th minute PERSPOLIS were awarded a corner. Honorio Carceles went to the cornerflag to take it. PERSPOLIS's Honorio Carceles was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nevada Silvestre in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. PERSPOLIS's Bela Herrero was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 38th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 44th minute Humberto Leon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean Grieve saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ekialde Nadal kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Rayo Tharkad's Hector Dorado was substituted for Salbatore Fuentes. Ekialde Nadal hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute Apoena Ocaña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean Grieve saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nevada Silvestre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ekialde Nadal in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ekialde Nadal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when PERSPOLIS's Honorio Carceles fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Dean Grieve took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apoena Ocaña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manolo Lacorte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Dean Grieve made a huge save. Nevada Silvestre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Ganix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Apoena Ocañas short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Dean Grieve to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manolo Lacorte got free with Dean Grieve in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hector Dorado hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. PERSPOLIS's Frutos Barrios was substituted for Yiyo Esperta. In the 67th minute, Hector Dorado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Rayo Tharkad's Manolo Lacorte got a free kick in the 70th minute. PERSPOLIS's Emiliano Quintero was substituted for Ekialde Nadal. Nevada Silvestre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Ganix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bela Herrero kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 78th minute Emiliano Quintero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nevada Silvestre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of PERSPOLIS booed when Rayo Tharkad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Bermejo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 81 played minutes, PERSPOLIS's Honorio Carceles shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nevada Silvestre came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PERSPOLIS reached it. Nevada Silvestre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Quintero in the 82nd minute of the match. With a little luck, PERSPOLIS's Dean Grieve got control of the ball when Manolo Lacorte tried to sneak it across the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, PERSPOLIS's goal looked a bit too open when Apoena Ocaña came free, but Dean Grieve reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 played minutes PERSPOLIS got a freekick which was hit by Max Thrane. In the 91st minute Emiliano Quintero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nevada Silvestre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruno Egoitz kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Juan Bermejo kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, Bela Herrero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nevada Silvestre. Rayo Tharkad's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bela Herrero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1.
