After some careless play in the Purchil defense, Hristo Stoichkov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Toribio Puelles. The Purchil fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Toribio Puelles should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cutberto Tobia got free with Jesus Sayveon in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jesus Sayveon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lukasz Zgonina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orlondo Aguado in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Toribio Puelles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 27th minute of the game. One of Purchil:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Athletico Picapedrense:s goal. Toribio Puelles came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Athletico Picapedrense's Hristo Stoichkov. But to his dismay, Hristo Stoichkov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 35th minute, Zenon Klewinski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Orlondo Aguado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Toribio Puelles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlondo Aguado in the 39th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Cristo Uria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Lukasz Zgonina made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hristo Stoichkov in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Toribio Puelles was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eloi Fontanella showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 78 minute of play. Athletico Picapedrense made a substitution. Cresconio Campoamor replaced Geoffrey Dutton. After a rather tough play, Athletico Picapedrense's Cristo Uria got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 83 minutes into the match, Purchil's Juan Ahonzo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eren Berbatov in the 91st minute of play forced Purchil's goalkeeper Toribio Puelles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Eustaquio Rosalio in the 93rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Athletico Picapedrense's Eren Berbatov. Eloi Fontanella could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Toribio Puelles made a huge save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Athletico Picapedrense walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
