The audience thought a goal was coming when Joey Merino got free with Paul Justo in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The throw-in from Federico Reyes in the 24th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Kivimaki FC's Gaizkine Paredes. Velasco Ocaña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Augusto Tróia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Kivimaki FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Ceandro Castillo hit a great ball. Joey Merino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paul Justo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kivimaki FC's goalkeeper Velasco Ocaña, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Velasco Ocaña stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Augusto Tróia's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. In the 35thth minute of the game Carlos Augusto Tróia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kivimaki FC's Velasco Ocaña was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Kivimaki FC booed when Sotresgudo S.A.D. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santxo Perpiñán didn't get a good kick on the ball.
