Velasco Ocaña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiburcio Antunez in the 4th minute of play. After some careless play in the Mantequillosos CF defense, Joey Merino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Niceto Albizua. The Mantequillosos CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niceto Albizua should have stopped the shot. After 20 minutes, Hori Marquez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mantequillosos CF and the Kivimaki FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mantequillosos CF's Hori Marquez got a free kick in the 20th minute. Joey Merino scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Niceto Albizua, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kivimaki FC's Velasco Ocaña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Petrov in the 26th minute of play. After having played for 27 minutes, Joey Merino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kivimaki FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joey Merino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joey Merino in the 29th minute of play forced Mantequillosos CF's goalkeeper Niceto Albizua to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mantequillosos CF's Niceto Albizua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceandro Castillo in the 30th minute of play. Niceto Albizua took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joey Merino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Joey Merino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kivimaki FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Niceto Albizua showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ceandro Castillo in the 36th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lars Petrov got free with Velasco Ocaña in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mantequillosos CF were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Kivimaki FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fructuoso Rodriguez took the corner. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Kivimaki FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fructuoso Rodriguez was slow to take the kick. During this time Mantequillosos CF's players had a chance to rest. Mantequillosos CF's Fructuoso Rodriguez was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Velasco Ocaña in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Niceto Albizua took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joey Merino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joey Merino in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Niceto Albizua saved Mantequillosos CF from getting behind.

If Joey Merino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 60th minute, Kivimaki FC's Ceandro Castillo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. When Mantequillosos CF's Lars Petrov in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kivimaki FC's goalie prevented a goal. Joey Merino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Niceto Albizua having to make a save. A collision led to Kivimaki FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Jimeno Pastor hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hori Marquez in the 70th minute of play forced Kivimaki FC's goalkeeper Velasco Ocaña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Lars Petrov got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Velasco Ocaña quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 73 minutes Kivimaki FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fructuoso Rodriguez who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Fructuoso Rodriguez almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Kivimaki FC's Velasco Ocaña did a great save. Niceto Albizua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joey Merino, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. When Kivimaki FC's Joey Merino in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mantequillosos CF's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Kivimaki FC booed when Mantequillosos CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiburcio Antunez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kivimaki FC's Primo Quijana was substituted for Joey Merino. Niceto Albizua took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ceandro Castillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Kivimaki FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Gaizka Rallo hit a great ball. In the 94th minute of the match Fructuoso Rodriguez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Velasco Ocaña skillfully saved the ball. Niceto Albizua took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Primo Quijana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Primo Quijana scored 0-5 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Niceto Albizua, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Kivimaki FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kivimaki FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
