Jaume Vilardell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Ermegildo Pasqual made a huge save. 45 minutes into the match, Red Hawk Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Herberto Leyva came free, but Albert Canyelles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leopoldo Manta made a kick off. Albert Canyelles made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Armada in the 52nd minute. Pascual Macia charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Thanks to some nice moves Geovanni de Medeiros could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Albert Canyelles however easily saved by the left post. Noel Travassos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ermegildo Pasqual stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aleix Rosanes's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Ferran Planes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Pasqual having to interfere. The Orihuela Club de Fútbol supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Orihuela Club de Fútbol would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
