Kurt Julin ran back to his position shaking his head. Xaime Palencia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mastur Bassi in the 25th minute of the match. Poncio Abellan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Galnares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the game, Mastur Bassi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Xaime Palencia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kurt Julin in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Poncio Abellan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jakes Ortiz to make the kick off. Senatus Populus Que Roman's Xuaco Acedo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Paul Basarab, made in the 53rd minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kurt Julin got free with Poncio Abellan in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 60th minute Mastur Bassi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xaime Palencia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Senatus Populus Que Roman's Mastur Bassi in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mastur Bassi in the 83rd minute of play forced VAR is coming's goalkeeper Xaime Palencia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
