After a defensive mix-up in Skellerøsd FC's zone, Jan-Arne Støen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rainer Valkenstjerne came out of the goal and Jan-Arne Støen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manfred Edström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Rainer Valkenstjerne made a huge save. 16 minutes into the game, Tommy Fausberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Hagbart Qvonje was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 19th minute Tommy Fausberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hagbart Qvonje saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hagbart Qvonje showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommy Fausberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Hagbart Qvonje made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kalle Tvingstrup in the 21st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aske Annesen during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 28th match minute, Aastrup FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aske Annesen to maneuver through the defense. A throw-in in the 36th minute of the game was made by Kurt Rose with Manfred Edström as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 39 minutes into the match, Aastrup FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tommy Fausberg came free, but Hagbart Qvonje reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tommy Fausberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hagbart Qvonje took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tommy Fausberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jan-Arne Støen made a kick off. Hagbart Qvonje stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kalle Tvingstrup's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. If Kurt Rose had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Aastrup FC's Hagbart Qvonje got control of the ball when Tommy Fausberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 59th play minutes Tommy Fausberg shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Hagbart Qvonje and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 62nd minute, Jan-Arne Støen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aastrup FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Tommy Fausberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hagbart Qvonje. That made the score 1-3 in the 65 minute of play. In the 68th match minute, Skellerøsd FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nickolai Parkfelt to maneuver through the defense. Claes Vilspang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Rainer Valkenstjerne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hagbart Qvonje made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Neborka in the 78th minute. After a rather tough play, Aastrup FC's Claes Vilspang got a free kick in the 79th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Elmeri Blinka had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rainer Valkenstjerne. Skellerøsd FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elmeri Blinka was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Lasse Derm took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hagbart Qvonje. Aastrup FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Morgan Mallow's late challenge caught a Skellerøsd FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Morgan Mallow helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Skellerøsd FC booed when Aastrup FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Morgan Mallow didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elmeri Blinka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rainer Valkenstjerne having to interfere. Rainer Valkenstjerne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Arne Støen in the 96th minute of the match.
