Spectators: 8464 (Terracing: 6349, Seating: 1946, VIP seats: 169) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Torleif Esmo started the match with the kick off. Erhard Løfting showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Rudbøg, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Hougaard FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Henry Rudbøg scored to the left of an out of position Erhard Løfting, making the score, 2-0. Erhard Løfting made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pelle Hvidegaard in the 13th minute of play. Ib Dalsted could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Erhard Løfting made a huge save. 19 minutes into the match, Hougaard FC's goalkeeper Erhard Løfting had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rune Griffenfeld. After 21 played minutes Hougaard FC got a freekick which was hit by Erhard Katballe. In the 22nd play minute Rune Griffenfeld came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Erhard Løfting. 4-0. In the 24th minute, Rune Griffenfeld hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erhard Løfting made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rune Griffenfeld in the 26th minute of play. Hougaard FC's Erhard Løfting proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Hougaard FC from getting a goal against them. Erhard Løfting was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Pelle Hvidegaard capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pelle Hvidegaard really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. 36 minutes into the game, Rune Griffenfeld recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Erhard Løfting. Rune Griffenfeld showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-0. Henry Rudbøg hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 7-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rune Griffenfeld made a kick off. Hougaard FC's Erhard Løfting played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pelle Hvidegaard in the 51st minute of play. Erhard Løfting made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Rudbøg in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Zakarias Brejnrod left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Esbjerg fB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Thomas Bjørgum took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erhard Løfting. Erhard Løfting dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. Erhard Løfting came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Esbjerg fB's Rune Griffenfeld. But to his dismay, Rune Griffenfeld quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-0. After some careless play in the Hougaard FC defense, Rune Griffenfeld kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erhard Løfting. The Hougaard FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erhard Løfting should have stopped the shot. 74 minutes into the match, Hougaard FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zakarias Brejnrod came free, but Erhard Løfting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pelle Hvidegaard in the 76th minute of play forced Hougaard FC's goalkeeper Erhard Løfting to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erhard Løfting didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rune Griffenfeld went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 14-0 was the resulting score. Erhard Løfting came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Esbjerg fB's Henry Rudbøg. But to his dismay, Henry Rudbøg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 15-0. Erhard Løfting took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Rudbøg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, Hougaard FC's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Rudbøg came free, but Erhard Løfting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the game, Zakarias Brejnrod cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 17-0. Erhard Løfting was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Verner Salling scored 18-0 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erhard Løfting, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Esbjerg fB walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
