John-Arne Riise might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reinhardt Harmø. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. John-Arne Riise ran back to his position shaking his head. 16 minutes into the match, John-Arne Riise had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reinhardt Harmø. Team LH-DT's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that John-Arne Riise was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Hønning's Fillip Knutstad got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 24 minutes in the game, John-Arne Riise dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 25 minutes into the game, Hønning's John-Arne Riise nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reinhardt Harmø made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. If John-Arne Riise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reinhardt Harmø made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John-Arne Riise in the 32nd minute of play. After 33 minutes of play, Hønning's Carlos Eduardo Varela made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reinhardt Harmø was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 38th minute, Silas Thagholm made a precise shot to the right of Reinhardt Harmø. Team LH-DT's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. After 42 played minutes Team LH-DT got a freekick which was hit by Folmer Ortvig. John-Arne Riise might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reinhardt Harmø. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. John-Arne Riise ran back to his position shaking his head. After 45 minutes of play, Hønning's John-Arne Riise made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reinhardt Harmø was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Hønning were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If John-Arne Riise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Hønning's John-Arne Riise got a free kick in the 52nd minute. John-Arne Riise succeeded in the game's 54th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-7. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Team LH-DT's goalkeeper Reinhardt Harmø, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 60th minute John-Arne Riise shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinhardt Harmø saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simon Svanström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reinhardt Harmø having to make a save. Team LH-DT's Reinhardt Harmø proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Team LH-DT from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by John-Arne Riise in the 77th minute of play forced Team LH-DT's goalkeeper Reinhardt Harmø to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Team LH-DT's goalkeeper Reinhardt Harmø, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Team LH-DT's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hønning the free kick. A collision led to Team LH-DT getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Wagner Asserhave hit a great ball. After 94 played minutes Hønning got a freekick which was hit by Silas Thagholm. Hønning's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
