The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4thth minute of the game Bo Dogel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Odense Boldklub's Sven Randborg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sven Randborg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bo Dogel in the 7th minute of the match. Sven Randborg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Vøge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes into the match, Odense Boldklub's goal looked a bit too open when Bo Dogel came free, but Sven Randborg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12thth minute of the game Bo Dogel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Odense Boldklub's Sven Randborg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Odense Boldklub's zone, Ronnie Spanger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven Randborg came out of the goal and Ronnie Spanger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sven Randborg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Vøge in the 19th minute of play. The supporters of FC Hyklerne booed when Odense Boldklub was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steen Briis didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to FC Hyklerne getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Oliver Strømsborg hit a great ball. Odense Boldklub's Sven Randborg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bo Dogel in the 27th minute of play. In the 29thth minute of the game Bo Dogel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Odense Boldklub's Sven Randborg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The corner led FC Hyklerne's Ronnie Spanger to fire away a dangerous shot which Sven Randborg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 35 played minutes FC Hyklerne got a freekick which was hit by Ronnie Spanger. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bo Dogel in the 40th minute of play forced Odense Boldklub's goalkeeper Sven Randborg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Oliver Strømsborg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sven Randborg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bo Dogel in the 48th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

With a little luck, Odense Boldklub's Sven Randborg got control of the ball when Bo Dogel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Odense Boldklub's Sven Randborg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Odense Boldklub from getting a goal against them. 70 minutes into the game, Kurt Vinterly was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Odense Boldklub's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Hyklerne the free kick. A collision led to Odense Boldklub getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Kurt Vinterly hit a great ball. Joachim Acosta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 78 minutes, Terkild Mosbech managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Odense Boldklub's supporters crossed their fingers, but Terkild Mosbech was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bo Dogel got free with Sven Randborg in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bo Dogel let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 83rd minute shot 0-2 at rihgt post. Sven Randborg made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Bo Dogel sent off a good shot on target. Ronnie Ebdrup took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joachim Acosta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Terkild Mosbech fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronnie Ebdrup having to interfere.
