Pedro Paddington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jokum Bergendorf having to interfere. Rodskov Forest's Ahmet Koralp Özok got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Toninho Guerreiro came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Det fine selskab fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toninho Guerreiro couldn't finish the play. Luis Lydiker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toninho Guerreiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Jokum Bergendorf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Paddington in the 40th minute of play. Vilhelm Risør was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 42 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute, Vilhelm Risør hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmet Koralp Özok got free with Jokum Bergendorf in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rodskov Forest's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Paddington was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toninho Guerreiro to make the kick off. Ian Klingsten made in the 52nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Bent Brunnemann however managed to control. After having played for 53 minutes, Toninho Guerreiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
