The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Memet Kliemann got free with Norbert Lank in the 2nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 4th match minute, Kranichborn FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobi Wintergerst to maneuver through the defense. David Hörster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Detlev Pautsch fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Keine Lake Make's protests and gave Detlev Pautsch a yellow card for diving instead. Detlev Pautsch hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. If David Hörster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Kranichborn FSV booed when FC Keine Lake Make was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Detlev Pautsch didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute of the match, Memet Kliemann tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Norbert Lank saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Memet Kliemann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Norbert Lank tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Kranichborn FSV's zone, David Hörster stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norbert Lank came out of the goal and David Hörster tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. David Hörster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Memet Kliemann was the one to do the kick off. Norbert Lank stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Memet Kliemann's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Hörster in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Norbert Lank saved Kranichborn FSV from getting behind. David Hörster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Memet Kliemann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Norbert Lank tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, FC Keine Lake Make's Memet Kliemann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Norbert Lank narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Memet Kliemann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, David Hörster managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Keine Lake Make's supporters rose to their feet, but David Hörster was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norbert Lank breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 77 minutes into the match, Memet Kliemann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Norbert Lank. Kranichborn FSV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Memet Kliemann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Kranichborn FSV's Norbert Lank played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Memet Kliemann in the 90th minute of play. Memet Kliemann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norbert Lank having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Memet Kliemann in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Norbert Lank saved Kranichborn FSV from getting behind. When the referee ended the match the FC Keine Lake Make players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
