With his leg Ehrhard Hasse managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when Obersgegen's Philipp Fröhlich fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Philipp Fröhlich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Donald Treiber was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 6th minute. Obersgegen's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Hamburger SV's Ehrhard Hasse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donald Treiber in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Obersgegen's Erasmus Strauch seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Erasmus Strauch the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Obersgegen protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Erasmus Strauch had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 13th minute there was a penalty for Hamburger SV. Jan Hänssler stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Leonid Sanders. 0-1. Lukasz Hopp kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute of the match Jan Hänssler sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonid Sanders skillfully saved the ball. Ehrhard Hasse made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Philipp Fröhlich sent off a good shot on target. Philipp Fröhlichs short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Ehrhard Hasse to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Philipp Fröhlich could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Ehrhard Hasse made a huge save. In the 29th match minute, Obersgegen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lukasz Hopp to maneuver through the defense. Leonid Sanders showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timm Tenberge in the 30th minute of the match. If Philipp Fröhlich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Norbert Wöhrle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Philipp Fröhlich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Ehrhard Hasse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Philipp Fröhlich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Markus Goldenbogen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

After 51 minutes, Wiggo Bartels mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Obersgegen and the Hamburger SV players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th minute Philipp Fröhlich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ehrhard Hasse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 60 minutes on the clock, Jan Hänssler commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 62nd minute there was a penalty for Obersgegen. Roger Oppenheim stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ehrhard Hasse. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norbert Wöhrle in the 66th minute of play forced Hamburger SV's goalkeeper Ehrhard Hasse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Herbert Neumann fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hamburger SV's protests and gave Herbert Neumann a yellow card for diving instead. With a little luck, Obersgegen's Leonid Sanders got control of the ball when Martin Jungwirth tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ehrhard Hasse came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Obersgegen's Philipp Fröhlich. But to his dismay, Philipp Fröhlich quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 91 minutes into the match, Hamburger SV's goal looked a bit too open when Wiggo Bartels came free, but Ehrhard Hasse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Philipp Fröhlich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ehrhard Hasse having to interfere. When Lukasz Hopp came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Obersgegen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lukasz Hopp couldn't finish the play. When the referee ended the match the Obersgegen players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
