Chris Koester struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Joerg-Uwe Marsing didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SV 05 Meckenheim. 24 minutes into the match, SV 05 Meckenheim's Chris Koester sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joerg-Uwe Marsing narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 26th minute Bernhard Runde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joerg-Uwe Marsing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute of the match, Timur Dülberg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fritz Rudolf Woyke saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Oliver Pässler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fritz Rudolf Woyke having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timur Dülberg in the 34th minute of play forced SV 05 Meckenheim's goalkeeper Fritz Rudolf Woyke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fritz Rudolf Woyke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Timur Dülberg in the 38th minute. Jochen Majohr hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Fritz Rudolf Woyke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timur Dülberg in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Joseph Budden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Timur Dülberg was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 46th minute. Adelheidsdorf FSV's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Timur Dülberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fritz Rudolf Woyke having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Timur Dülberg made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 57 minutes, Oliver Pässler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Adelheidsdorf FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oliver Pässler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, SV 05 Meckenheim's goal looked a bit too open when Timur Dülberg came free, but Fritz Rudolf Woyke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Bernhard Runde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fritz Rudolf Woyke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Pässler in the 65th minute of play. Oliver Pässler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fritz Rudolf Woyke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timur Dülberg in the 72nd minute of play. After 72 minutes, Jochen Majohr mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SV 05 Meckenheim and the Adelheidsdorf FSV players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SV 05 Meckenheim getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Jochen Majohr hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the match, SV 05 Meckenheim's goal looked a bit too open when Timur Dülberg came free, but Fritz Rudolf Woyke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fritz Rudolf Woyke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Pantel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adelheidsdorf FSV's Timur Dülberg got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oliver Pässler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fritz Rudolf Woyke having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Timur Dülberg in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fritz Rudolf Woyke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 86 minutes into the game, Adelheidsdorf FSV's Oliver Pässler nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fritz Rudolf Woyke made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Fritz Rudolf Woyke stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Timur Dülberg's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. The supporters of Adelheidsdorf FSV booed when SV 05 Meckenheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jochen Majohr didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oliver Pässler in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fritz Rudolf Woyke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SV 05 Meckenheim's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
