Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ingo Westphal got the match started through his kick off. If Ingo Westphal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th match minute, Emmrichsrode FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdinand Held to maneuver through the defense. Florian Lantzen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeff Orthaus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ingo Westphal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Christopher Posch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. TuS Grevenbroich's Christopher Posch proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save TuS Grevenbroich from getting a goal against them. After 20 minutes of play Emmrichsrode FSV's Ferdinand Held was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Ferdinand Held kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After 22 minutes, Ingo Westphal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Emmrichsrode FSV and the TuS Grevenbroich players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th minute Walter Szesni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florian Lantzen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Yannick Hammerschmitt fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Emmrichsrode FSV's protests and gave Yannick Hammerschmitt a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Emmrichsrode FSV getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Yannick Hammerschmitt hit a great ball. Heribert Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emmrichsrode FSV's Florian Lantzen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeff Orthaus in the 33rd minute of play. Florian Lantzen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeff Orthaus in the 35th minute of play. After having played for 37 minutes, Heribert Hoffmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Emmrichsrode FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Heribert Hoffmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Heribert Hoffmann came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Emmrichsrode FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Heribert Hoffmann couldn't finish the play. Heribert Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Caspar Kranz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Heribert Hoffmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Emmrichsrode FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Heribert Hoffmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christopher Posch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emmrichsrode FSV's Heribert Hoffmann got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Heribert Hoffmann struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Christopher Posch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Emmrichsrode FSV.

The wind increased when Jeff Orthaus made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rdth minute of the game Yannick Hammerschmitt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TuS Grevenbroich's Christopher Posch was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Yannick Hammerschmitt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christopher Posch read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. If Walter Szesni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Walter Szesni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Florian Lantzen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeff Orthaus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Heribert Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the TuS Grevenbroich defense, Heribert Hoffmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christopher Posch. The TuS Grevenbroich fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christopher Posch should have stopped the shot. Christopher Posch came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Emmrichsrode FSV's Heribert Hoffmann. But to his dismay, Heribert Hoffmann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Emmrichsrode FSV walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
