The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Volker Mischke hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 9th match minute, FC MOFFIFY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hakim Schiefer to maneuver through the defense. Hakim Schiefer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ashley Burgbacher having to interfere. Gunter Traugott in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ashley Burgbacher, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Balthasar Korsus managed to get in a good position for a shot. SG Massen's supporters rose to their feet, but Balthasar Korsus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Ehses breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Volker Mischke was shown his second yellow card after 23 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Balthasar Korsus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 29 minutes, Jakov Fleiner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SG Massen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jakov Fleiner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Balthasar Korsus charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Balthasar Korsus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SG Massen getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Balthasar Korsus hit a great ball. Balthasar Korsus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Marco Ehses tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SG Massen's Balthasar Korsus got a free kick in the 40th minute. Jakov Fleiner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Ehses having to interfere. When Gunter Traugott came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the FC MOFFIFY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gunter Traugott couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Balthasar Korsus made a kick off. If Gunter Traugott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th match minute, SG Massen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alwin Gooß to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gunter Traugott in the 63rd minute of play forced SG Massen's goalkeeper Ashley Burgbacher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 64 minutes, Jakov Fleiner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SG Massen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jakov Fleiner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gunter Traugott recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Balthasar Korsus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Ehses read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. When Gunter Traugott came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the FC MOFFIFY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gunter Traugott couldn't finish the play. Hubert Hareter kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, FC MOFFIFY's goal looked a bit too open when Balthasar Korsus came free, but Marco Ehses reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
