The FSV Stendal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Helko Felchle should have stopped the shot. 11 minutes into the game, Tim Zahn cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. With 18 minutes on the clock, Jörgen Schmidtmann commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in FSV Stendal fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 17th minute. Penalty! The throw-in from Vitus Mehler in the 34th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FSV Stendal's Eduard Kuhn. FSV Stendal's Helko Felchle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tim Zahn in the 35th minute of play. Jeremy Förg took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Helko Felchle. Helko Felchle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. The FSV Stendal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SG Groß Stieten were winning 0-5.

In the 68th match minute, SG Groß Stieten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Knut Grunwald to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tim Zahn got free with Helko Felchle in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Helko Felchle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gottfried Walter, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 74 minutes into the match, Knut Grunwald had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Helko Felchle. FSV Stendal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Knut Grunwald was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. Helko Felchle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Knut Grunwald in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Knut Grunwald reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Helko Felchle. The goal made the score 0-10. The crowd rose to their feet as SG Groß Stieten's Knut Grunwald slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Helko Felchle. That made the score 0-11 after 91 minutes of play. Finn Latendorf made in the 95th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FSV Stendal's Anton Schmettau. SG Groß Stieten's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
