Georg Merkel hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. When Ke Chang Hong came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Aalen IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ke Chang Hong couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Aalen IF booed when Tierbach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georg Merkel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, Iosif Stana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fritz Labauve made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jochen Koch in the 21st minute of play. Holger Harms hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The supporters of Tierbach booed when Aalen IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Taghi Aghdiri didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manfred Schütz in the 29th minute of play forced Aalen IF's goalkeeper Fritz Labauve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aalen IF's Fritz Labauve played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jochen Koch in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Arpad Wollberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fritz Labauve. Aalen IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arpad Wollberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After 44 minutes, Kim Hirt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aalen IF and the Tierbach players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Aalen IF getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Kim Hirt hit a great ball. Fritz Labauve took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manfred Schütz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jochen Koch to strike the kick off in the second half. Wilfried Kurz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilfried Kurz kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfried Kurz in the 60th minute of play forced Aalen IF's goalkeeper Fritz Labauve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aalen IF's Fritz Labauve proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Aalen IF from getting a goal against them. Holger Harms recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Holger Harms struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Leo Meier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aalen IF. Fritz Labauve was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Manfred Schütz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 76 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfried Kurz in the 85th minute of play forced Aalen IF's goalkeeper Fritz Labauve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute of the match, Manfred Schütz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fritz Labauve was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Arpad Wollberg took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Fritz Labauve to make any attempt to save it. A hard shot 92 in the game by Jochen Koch from a close distance when the talented Fritz Labauve managed to make a qualified save. Aalen IF's players were relieved. Manfred Schütz took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fritz Labauve. Fritz Labauve dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Tierbach's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
