Seating: 1857, VIP seats: 160) Unterliedw's Elmar Striegler started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Olaf Kreuz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Rutkowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Großgöhren's Erwin Weiers got a free kick in the 10th minute. Lothar Schollbach stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Philo Lingemann's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. After 28 minutes, Jon Fruck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Unterliedw and the Großgöhren players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jon Fruck kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Palle Krahforst received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Lothar Schollbach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With 31 minutes on the clock, Erwin Weiers commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of Großgöhren:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Unterliedw:s goal. Elmar Striegler took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olaf Kreuz. Olaf Kreuz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Perry Spanl blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olaf Kreuz having to make a save. If Utz Weinforth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Utz Weinforth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Lothar Schollbach made a huge save. Philo Lingemann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Lothar Schollbach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elmar Striegler in the 44th minute of play forced Großgöhren's goalkeeper Olaf Kreuz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Utz Weinforth to strike the kick off in the second half. Lothar Schollbach came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Großgöhren's Utz Weinforth. But to his dismay, Utz Weinforth quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Justin Storjohann kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Philo Lingemann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thies Knoll hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Elmar Striegler was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 58th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 60th minute Elmar Striegler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olaf Kreuz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thies Knoll hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the game, Mladen Hennecke was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Unterliedw's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Großgöhren the free kick. The supporters of Großgöhren booed when Unterliedw was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mladen Hennecke didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Elmar Striegler notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Großgöhren's Olaf Kreuz. Olaf Kreuz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elmar Striegler during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 69 played minutes Unterliedw got a freekick which was hit by Elmar Striegler. 77 minutes into the game, Philo Lingemann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Lothar Schollbach was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fabian Rutkowski kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Großgöhren defense, Perry Spanl kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olaf Kreuz. The Großgöhren fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olaf Kreuz should have stopped the shot. In the 86th match minute, Großgöhren was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thies Knoll to maneuver through the defense. After 87 played minutes Unterliedw got a freekick which was hit by Mladen Hennecke. The long shot by Justin Storjohann in the 91st minute really tested Olaf Kreuz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When the final whistle went the supporters of Unterliedw were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Großgöhren side.
