The referee showed Jürgen Bahlke the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 3rd match minute, Blau–Weiß Pinneberg 05 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jürgen Bahlke to maneuver through the defense. Palle Höfgen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Körner having to interfere. Blau–Weiß Pinneberg 05's Erich Wolf shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 20th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Torsten Körner but with some difficulty. Liam Czerwinsky could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Torsten Körner made a huge save. Eintracht Frankfurt's Torsten Körner proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Eintracht Frankfurt from getting a goal against them. If Liam Czerwinsky had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th match minute, Eintracht Frankfurt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergio Olk to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute, Sönke Holter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sergio Olk kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erich Wolf to strike the kick off in the second half. Palle Höfgen took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Torsten Körner. Torsten Körner dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. With a little luck, Blau–Weiß Pinneberg 05's Birger Goll got control of the ball when Timo Meisinger tried to sneak it across the goal line. Torsten Körner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erich Wolf in the 64th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Erich Wolf had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Torsten Körner. Eintracht Frankfurt's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erich Wolf was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After 70 played minutes Eintracht Frankfurt got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Olk. Torsten Körner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erich Wolf in the 72nd minute of play. A collision led to Eintracht Frankfurt getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Sergio Olk hit a great ball. Liam Czerwinsky sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel Schöneberg was shown his second yellow card after 78 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Erich Wolf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Torsten Körner came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Blau–Weiß Pinneberg 05's Erich Wolf. But to his dismay, Erich Wolf quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. A collision led to Eintracht Frankfurt getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Timo Meisinger hit a great ball. Torsten Körner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erich Wolf, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Blau–Weiß Pinneberg 05 fully deserved thier win.
