The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thomas Müller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacob Bürsch in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leon Kehl saved Besitz from getting behind. The Nerreth FC fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Nerreth FC's Jacob Bürsch looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When %teams%'s Rainer Nießen was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-1 just inside the left pole, 15 minutes into the game. Sid Schätzle was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. 20 minutes into the match, Nerreth FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rainer Nießen came free, but Sid Schätzle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute Rainer Nießen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sid Schätzle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leon Kehl didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jacob Bürsch went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 32nd minute Rolf Holthausen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Kehl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Besitz's Leon Kehl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacob Bürsch in the 35th minute of play. Leon Kehl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacob Bürsch in the 36th minute of play. Arno Vogl lost his temper 39 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Nerreth FC. Besitzs' Sid Schätzle just managed to throw himself towards the right post in the 41stth minute after Calvin Wojewskis penalty, and stop a certain goal. After a rather tough play, Nerreth FC's Conny Frechen got a free kick in the 46th minute. Sid Schätzle was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Calvin Wojewski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Calvin Wojewski really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rainer Nießen made a kick off. A collision led to Besitz getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Rainer Nießen hit a great ball. With a little luck, Besitz's Leon Kehl got control of the ball when Jacob Bürsch tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Besitz's zone, Heiner Busch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Kehl came out of the goal and Heiner Busch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute of the match, Heiner Busch tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leon Kehl saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 61 minutes into the match, Heiner Busch notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Besitz's Leon Kehl. Leon Kehl was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Calvin Wojewski might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sid Schätzle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Calvin Wojewski ran back to his position shaking his head. After 67th play minutes Jacob Bürsch shot 2-4, a short shot which went by Leon Kehl and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rainer Nießen in the 87th minute of play forced Nerreth FC's goalkeeper Sid Schätzle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Besitz's Leon Kehl got control of the ball when Jacob Bürsch tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 89 played minutes Besitz got a freekick which was hit by Rainer Nießen. After some careless play in the Nerreth FC defense, Rainer Nießen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sid Schätzle. The Nerreth FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sid Schätzle should have stopped the shot. Nerreth FC played a much better game than Besitz and deserved their victory. The Besitz players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
