An unexpectedly hard shot by 巩翔傲 in the 14th minute of play forced De Gulden Draak's goalkeeper Siim Kikas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Siim Kikas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Grommers in the 19th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erwin Backes got free with Henning Heringer in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to PoznanGalaxy getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Peter Grommers hit a great ball. A well-hit corner resulted in Adam Kremers heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The supporters of De Gulden Draak booed when PoznanGalaxy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 巩翔傲 made a kick off.
