Spectators: 9225 (Terracing: 6920, Seating: 2122, VIP seats: 183) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Guido Burgstaller started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute Michael Laudrup shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Șerban Fundătoreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Bartels scored 1-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Helmuth Duckadam, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Bartels got free with Helmuth Duckadam in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 12th minute, Luis Bartels reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Helmuth Duckadam. The goal made the score 2-0. Anselm Hayer took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Șerban Fundătoreanu. Möhnsen FC's Șerban Fundătoreanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Laudrup in the 22nd minute of play. Luis Bartels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th match minute, FC Schonebeck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Laudrup to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute of the match, Béla Strothmann tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Helmuth Duckadam saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 35th match minute, FC Schonebeck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselm Hayer to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Bartels got free with Helmuth Duckadam in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 36 played minutes Möhnsen FC got a freekick which was hit by Darius Minge. Șerban Fundătoreanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean Carl Ba Loua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Möhnsen FC's Béla Strothmann slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Helmuth Duckadam. That made the score 3-1 after 46 minutes of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jean Carl Ba Loua made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Luis Bartels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Helmuth Duckadam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Șerban Fundătoreanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean Carl Ba Loua, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 63 minutes into the match, FC Schonebeck's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Bartels came free, but Helmuth Duckadam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Helmuth Duckadam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Béla Strothmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mustafa Ekrem Avşar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Șerban Fundătoreanu having to interfere. FC Schonebeck's Carmine Anastasi was substituted for Michael Laudrup. FC Schonebeck's Lothar Drinkard was substituted for Anselm Hayer. 74 minutes into the match, Möhnsen FC's Béla Strothmann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Helmuth Duckadam narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 75th minute Lothar Drinkard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Șerban Fundătoreanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, FC Schonebeck's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Bartels came free, but Helmuth Duckadam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Helmuth Duckadam didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luis Bartels went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Möhnsen FC's Șerban Fundătoreanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Möhnsen FC from getting a goal against them. FC Schonebeck were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Möhnsen FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Sokolski took the corner. A collision led to Möhnsen FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Mathias Bernwurz hit a great ball. FC Schonebeck's Jean Carl Ba Loua got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Möhnsen FC booed when FC Schonebeck was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mustafa Ekrem Avşar didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Schonebeck's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Möhnsen FC had won, even though FC Schonebeck had held more of the ball.
