After a rather tough play, 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's Wieslaw Bykowski got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After 8 minutes of play, Hamburg Fighters's Szilárd Újváry made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Heinz-Gerd Bonin was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Wieslaw Bykowski in the 15th minute of play forced Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Pavlos Konstantakakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wieslaw Obuchowicz kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Pavlos Konstantakakis made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Alvar Nordgren sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wieslaw Bykowski in the 25th minute of play forced Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Pavlos Konstantakakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pavlos Konstantakakis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Matti Erkiner showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 29 minute of play. Pavlos Konstantakakis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matti Erkiner in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute, 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's Matti Erkiner dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Pavlos Konstantakakis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 46 played minutes Hamburg Fighters got a freekick which was hit by Maicon Fonseca. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Heinz-Gerd Bonin made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Szilárd Újváry sent off a good shot on target. Szilárd Újváry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Heinz-Gerd Bonin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Szilárd Újváry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heinz-Gerd Bonin having to interfere. 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's Matti Erkiner got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pavlos Konstantakakis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfons Tilmann's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfons Tilmann in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pavlos Konstantakakis saved Hamburg Fighters from getting behind. After 84 played minutes 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz got a freekick which was hit by Freerk Sauer. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Gianluca Balla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hamburg Fighters's supporters rose to their feet, but Gianluca Balla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Heinz-Gerd Bonin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
