If Andras Gafus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the game, 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's Matti Erkiner nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastian Titz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 27 minutes into the match, Sydney FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wieslaw Bykowski came free, but Sebastian Titz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastian Titz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egon Künkler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Egon Künkler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastian Titz was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. After 30 minutes, Egon Künkler made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Sydney FC's Sebastian Titz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sebastian Titz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matti Erkiner in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Sydney FC's Emanuel Ogășanu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Sebastian Titz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wieslaw Bykowski in the 43rd minute of the match. 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's Alvar Nordgren was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sebastian Titz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Sebastian Titz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ari Brantwein in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matti Erkiner to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Sydney FC's goalkeeper Sebastian Titz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wieslaw Bykowski. Ludwig Hanstein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Emanuel Ogășanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heinz-Gerd Bonin having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matti Erkiner in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastian Titz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sydney FC's Sebastian Titz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Sydney FC from getting a goal against them. Sebastian Titz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matti Erkiner in the 70th minute of play. Matti Erkiner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the match, 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's Alfons Tilmann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sebastian Titz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 89th minute of the match, Theo Ljucovic got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sebastian Titz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfons Tilmann in the 92nd minute of play forced Sydney FC's goalkeeper Sebastian Titz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sydney FC's Sebastian Titz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Sydney FC from getting a goal against them. The Sydney FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz's performance. The match ended with a win for 1.FC Aufbau-Einsturz.
