Simon Herzog showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petr Hanč in the 45th minute of the match. After 46 played minutes Deniz got a freekick which was hit by Alojz Pleticha. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Petr Hanč to strike the kick off in the second half. Andreas Vorel made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Rudolf Bučko sent off a good shot on target. Rudolf Bučko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Václav Tatíček had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rudolf Bučko got free with Andreas Vorel in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Petr Komárek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Vorel having to interfere. Deniz's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
